From Crown to Couture:

Mrs. International 2019 Robin Towle

Debuts as Designer at Utah State Fashion Week

Robin Towle shook up the SLC fashion scene with her Spring/Summer 2024 clothing line at the Salt Lake Capitol Building Fashion Show.

Mrs. International of 2019 has officially added debut designer to her title, showcasing 23 looks designed for both moms and teens. Towle's collection reinvigorated the audience, who had already witnessed a slew of new designs over the previous six hours.

The crowd was instantly captivated by Towle's eighth-in-the-lineup presentation, as the sleepy afternoon turned into an exhilarating showcase of color and style. Models, teens and mothers meticulously chosen for the event, gracefully walked the runway, taking their time to let each ruffle bounce and skirt twirl. Towle’s Spring/Summer 2024 line brought to life a vivid palette of periwinkle blues and lavish blush pinks, featuring horizontal blocky stripes, bubble and butterfly sleeves, jumpsuits, and matching pink button-up jackets paired with same-colored pants.

The highlight of the collection was the intentional placement of florals, which climbed up the side of the body and speckled themselves throughout the garments, showcasing Towle's keen eye for detail. "My goal behind it is to bring more light and beauty to the world, to bring hope to people through color and to empower women to feel their best selves," Towle explained. "I want my designs to brighten the world and make women feel good about themselves."

Towle's designs seamlessly blend an understanding of women's curves with the youthful flair that appeals to a younger audience. The patterns and cohesive styles demonstrate her dedication to creating a diverse shopping experience for both moms and their teen daughters. “I want my girls to feel good about themselves. So, in my line, you'll see dresses and suits for women and then shorter, cutesy dresses for teens,” Towle shared.

Towle's path has been anything but ordinary. She has navigated the pageant world and engaged in philanthropic causes. She is an inspiring mother, now pursuing her lifelong dream and passion for fashion and design.

Her debut collection is not just a testament to her design skills but also her unwavering dedication. “I stay up talking to India and China till three in the morning. It’s constant—the posting, trying to sell it, ship it, and make your branding. It’s blood, sweat, and tears. Manufacturing myself with five different manufacturers,” Towle revealed, underscoring the immense one-of-a-kind effort behind launching her brand.

Robin Towle's woman-owned and founded business, designed by a mother for other mothers and their daughters, clearly demonstrates her deep understanding of her audience. Her vision transcends fashion, aiming to elevate personal growth, radiate positive change, and amplify the connection between today’s and future generations. "I want to inspire women to step out of their comfort zone, whether it be with the colors they’re choosing or fun patterns. Embrace who you are and what you love, remember who you are," Towle said.

Her collection is available for purchase on her website, robintowle.com. Readers of Vessel Magazine can follow her budding journey on Instagram at @robintowledesigns.

Robin Towle’s debut has undoubtedly set a high bar, and we eagerly anticipate where her journey will lead next.
